Creating a Personal Google Account

If you're needing to create a personal Google account, follow these steps. This may be useful in an instance where a fellow may need to use Google Voice to contact the parent of a student, in the event they don't wish to use their personal contact information.

Step 1: Navigate to https://accounts.google.com/signup and then enter in your First Name and your Last Name, (this is an optional field) then select Next.

Step 2: From here, enter in your Date of Birth and Gender, then select Next.

• NOTE: Google asks for this information in order to refer to you by the correct pronouns and also to ensure that certain age-limited features are assigned to the correct people. Step 3: Enter in a username for this account, then select Next. Then, create a secure password for this account, then select Next.

• NOTE: This is a separate Google account from your Saga (saga.org) account, so you will need to create a new username for this.

Step 4: Enter a recovery email address in case you lose access to this new account, then select Next. You can use your saga.org email address for this or any other email address you have regular access to.

Step 5: From here, confirm that your account information looks correct, then select Next, then I agree to the Terms and Conditions after taking a look at them. After this, your new personal Google account is live!
