Chromebook: How to Powerwash / Factory Reset

Performing a Powerwash (sometimes called a Factory Reset) is a way to reset the settings on the Chromebook as if it is fresh out of the box! We may have you perform this process as part of troubleshooting.

Step 1: Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R at the login screen. You should see the screen below. 

Step 2: Select Powerwash, and then select Continue.

Step 3: The screen will go dark at this point and will perform the Powerwash process. This may take a few minutes.

Step 4: Once you reach the screen pictured below, you will select Get started, then connect to a wifi network, and then sign-in with your Saga Google Account in order to enroll the Chromebook.

Step 5: Once you're signed in and reach the screen below, select Done and your Chromebook is back up and running!
