Introduction to Microsoft Office 365

Getting Started

Microsoft Office 365 provides similar software to Google Workspace. Since Saga has adopted Google Workspace company-wide, most Saga team members will not have the need to also utilize Office 365, or perhaps, utilize only portions of Office 365.

• Word
• Powerpoint
• Excel
• OneDrive
• Teams

Office 365 apps that Saga IT does not support

• Sharepoint
• Outlook
• Yammer
• OneNote
• Bookings

Logging into Office 365 and installing applications

1. If office is not installed on your laptop already, go to www.office.com
2. Your login email for Office 365 may be different than your Saga email. Some Saga team members with Office 365 accounts will need to use the following for emails.   
   1. JSmith@sagaeducation.onmicrosoft.com
   2. Note that JSmith should be replaced with your email address name, and the rest should be entered as shown.
   3. Newer Office 365 accounts should be able to use their Saga email
3. Log in to www.office.com with your modified email address
   1. If you do not know your password and need to reset it, please email helpdesk@saga.org to request a password reset.
4. To download the office products, click the "Install Office" button in the top right corner

Accessing the web versions of office

If you do not wish to download the office products, you can still access them by going to their appropriate website URL, as listed below
